In the 1970's, the Guinness Book of World Records listed The Texas Aggie Bonfire as the largest Bonfire in the world. In 1969, it set the world record for height at 109 feet, 10 inches! A Bolex, super-8mm camera captured the building of this, the GREATEST of all Aggie Bonfires! Recently discovered footage of the building of 1969 Bonfire is now available on DVD. "A Bonfire Flick" was filmed by Aggie Don Kirk, class of '70, and stars the "105" Crew of Legett Hall and co-stars the Corps of Cadets.
The film has been preserved in its original 8mm format just as it was originally edited, with a wild sound track of the noises heard at Stack and a commentary track by Aggies who worked on that Bonfire. 30 minutes in length, it is now available on DVD.
